Customised products from the chart database
Modern navigational chart production is now based on electronic vector data. Vector data enables expanded information content and various new applications for charts are emerging.
Hydrographic information for sale
The Swedish Maritime Administration’s Chart Database is used mainly for the Administration’s production of charts for commercial shipping and recreational boating.
We also deliver data on an ongoing basis to entirely electronic navigation systems known as ENC cells (Electronical Navigational Charts) to the official distribution centre, Primar, in Norway.
Chart data is sold mainly to manufacturers of navigational software. However GIS users have discovered the usefulness of customised information from the Swedish Maritime Administration.
Products
There are several standard products available for immediate delivery in raster and vector format in SWEREF99TM. Hydrographic information can be provided in various file formats and with the desired geodetic transformation. Ready-to-print files are available.
Delivery time
We offer fast delivery for standard products. Delivery time is somewhat longer for other data extractions and varies according to the size of the order.
