Charts are printed in new editions at least once a year, while small craft charts are printed every third year. When charts leave the printer in Norrköping, they have been finalised according to all known changes.
Changes do mean however that the charts on the shelves in our stock rapidly deteriorate from the maritime safety perspective. When you buy a chart from one of our agents, it may be up to a year old in the worst case.
Small craft charts may be up to three years old when they leave the shop. The NtM issue up to which the chart has been corrected is shown at the lower left-hand corner of the chart (on every SW sheet in the small craft chart).
To keep your new charts or small craft charts up to date, you should correct them according to the Notices to Mariners issued since the chart was printed and then regularly correct them and keep them up to date thereafter.
