The Swedish Maritime Administration, Southcoast Maritime Traffic Area, offer you well trained pilots for safe and cost effective transit through the Swedish part of the Sound and Deep Sea Pilotage to all ports in the Baltic, Kattegatt and Skagerrak.
Harbourpilotage is offered to all ports in the Southcoast Maritime Traffic Area and East Coast Maritime Area up to latitude 58° 00' N (Gamleby) except the island of Gotland (read more at Eastcoast Maritme Traffic Area).
For transit through the Flintchannel
Maximum draught 7.0 meter and maximum air-draught 55.0 meter at mean water level.

Pilotage is, in general, compulsory for masters on vessels with a length of 70 metres or beam of 14 metres or more.
However, certain dimensions and categories of vessels with compulsory pilotage in each fairway are specified.
Ordering pilot should be in time according to the rules.
Embarkation of pilot should be at positions described or at position agreed with the pilot, pilot boat or VTS. When a pilot is to embark or disembark a vessel, the master shall take such measures as to ensure that this is done with a minimum degree of danger.
In case of any dispute regarding the interpretation of these rules, the Swedish text will prevail and shall be admissible as evidence.
